I use ffdshow to postprocess (if at all) my clips, and I use xvid in 
there for decoding xvid. Since I didn't fell over a "first frame green" 
bug for some days now, I think it's necessary to know what bframes 
settings were used... (maybe the bitstream written is wrong when set to 
0 instead of -1 [max bframes, dunno the respective variable in the core 
and I'm too tired to fire up devel. studio now ;) ).
