reduced resolution vops, are vops where the image is 'rescaled' on a
macroblock basis to half the original width/height. skals probably knows
more than i about, and he has already written somec/mmx code to perform
the rescaling/filtering. ive not had time to intergrate it into xvid,

theres lots of potential for rrv, ie. modulated/dynamic-rrv, encoded at
native dv/dvd resolutions.
