Whatever you do, make hinted me still available. My hinted motion
estimation is fully working, even if it's reasonably simple and doesn't
increase quality yet. It's simply very fast.
I really believe that first pass is not _that_ different then the
second to throw away all the information. I think I could think of
extending hinted mv data - for example, if inter/intra decision was
'on the edge' we could remeber it and re-calculate the decision in
second pass - but if it wasn't even close, we don't have to.

BTW, do you know a way to compute PSNR of my second pass? I'd like to
compare hinted me search vs. full me search, but I have no idea how ;)
A simple program to compute PSNR between 2 avi's would be the best,
and I have a strange feeling that I've read about it somewhere - on a
forum of sort - but search at Doom9's didn't give me any effect.
