[XviD-devel] [STATUS stable] First Release ready

Hello,

I  don't see  any  good reason  not  to make  a  release from  current
CVS. It's  clean, examples are  synced with API  2.1 and they  are now
(mostly)   portable  (except   xvid_bench  which   needs  gettimeofday
precision,  win32  has  not   such  a  precision  without  using  some
GetPerformance counter, that i don't know how to use).

Michael, Christoph, Pete, i'm now waiting for your feedback and if all
is good  then i'll tag  the CVS and  build a nice first  XviD realease
from it.

Other developers' feedback is also welcome.
