wow=)
i like to see new code and try to mae it work with mplayer=)

now a suggestion:
since dev-3-api is declered stable why not remove from xvid.h
#define XVID_API_UNSTABLE

and i'll try to remove it also form mplayer and hope that they will include 
these fix=)
