[XviD-devel] Codec Test in c't magazin

Hi,

there's a test of XviD and several other codecs in the current issue of
c't, "the" german magazin for computertechnics.

The longer version even includes the names of Isibaar, suxen_drol and me
in alphabetic order ;-) 

Anyway, XviD doesn't win, but that wasn't expected. They tested with
veeery low bitrate, much lower than XviD is optimized for. The other
codecs, including Windows Media 9, RealVideo 9, an early H.264 (MPEG-4
AVC) codec, DivX 5.0.3 and several other MPEG-4 codecs weren't heroes,
either. 

The final result is that maybe MS WMV9 has a small lead at the moment,
but of course it has other drawbacks, and DivX and XviD are somehow top
for the MPEG-4 codecs.
