Sorry, it's nothing against you (your programming skills), nor against the
simplicity of memcpy(). It's just that for _every_ proposed change, I
write "Not for 1.0". What was the last bug we found? Some absolutely
trivial typo which happened not even when programming, but during cleanup.

Only, when people shout "but, it's not problem, let's really put
it in" (which you just did), I give in an say "okay".
