Hi Nicola,

this sounds very interesting and promising. 

However, please note that XVID source is under GPL license, so if 
you modify the sources and want to distribute the results, you have 
to make all your changes public under GPL again. 
In any case, we would of course be very interested in your results
and the new features you add. Core profile is still a long way to go for
XVID, but any step in the direction is welcome.
