Some more info: The encoder configuration used is the standard xvid4.cfg that 
ships with transcode 0.6.10, the compiler used was gcc 2.95, with very 
conservative CFLAGS (-O -pipe). Also, quant_type = mpeg instead of h263 seems 
to avoid the crash.
