[XviD-devel] Question On vfw

Dear all,

I am new to the video codec. Recently, I am trying to study the codec 
interfaces such as vfw and direct show, so that the applications (mainly 
on Windows) can communicate and use the elementary codecs. However, I 
found it is quite difficult to find such related documents. I would like 
to ask if anyone knows where I can get those information such that I can 
understand more about the vfw, especially the vfw programs of xvid. 
Furthermore, I would like to ask if there is any interface for Linux 
doing the purpose like vfw and direct show in Windows.
