[XviD-devel] problem with xvid bitrate and... partial solution (?)

xvid 1.0.2 (or 1.0.1)
mplayer 1.0pre5 with ot without --enable-largefiles

small (input) files are ok (<500MB, <1h)
big (input) files are ok (around 3,6GB mpeg2) in one-pass mode
but in the second pass bitrate doesn't make sense (the filesize is the same
as in the 1-pass - sometimes >8GB!!!)

observation:
at the end of the 1-pass xvid-twopass.stats is truncated!!! (my mpeg have over 136000 frames, >90min). If I replace xvid-twopass (I copy it every 5 second, and get one just before truncation) bitrate have more sense (predicted file size is about 680MB, I don't know exactly, bacause the coding is in progress).
