	That patch _almost_ was the right thing - it started to apply but
	then a few files later it fails ;(

	Hmmm, it seems that the patch doesn't apply cleanly to the current
	CVS xvid.  

	It seems strange to me that the patch, from January 2007, still has
	not been integrated into the CVS version.  Was the patch submitted to 
	the xvid maintainers?  

	Thank you for the reply - it was helpful but it seems more is needed.
