[XviD-devel] directions to understand how the vlc encoding/decoding is used

Hi,
I would like to know how the vlc encoding/decoding is used in xvid. I am 
unable to comprehend how the vlc tables 
have been used in the source code while encoding/decoding the mpeg4 bit 
stream. Any information related to how the vlc
is implemented in xvid will be helpful.
